Special Event: “Breathe & Brew– w/Drew @32!”

A new, non-traditional, and fun fusion of communities! Come stretch, breathe, pose, all inside the amazing 32 North Brewing Co.brewery in San Diego! After class, enjoy friends, fellow students and a brew!
-Sunday, August 28th @ 11am-12pm  PST
 
-Cost: $15 (Includes full 1 hour yoga class AND a pint!) SUCH a deal! Registration starts at 10:45am.
 
-Max Capacity for this class is 35 people (to start)
 
-Materials Needed: Yoga Mat, extra towels (for knees, under/above mat padding and protection since we’ll be doing our practice on concrete) Water, COMFY clothes.

Not Into “Yoga”? Think Of It As…

OK so you may not be a fan of what we call, Yoga… Too “woo woo” for you.  Not interested in grabbing your foot behind your head, (not that I can do that either) or hearing the term “Downward Dog” makes you think you should have a bowl with your name on it on the floor while you do it. For you it’s not about the “connection”. You just want to get healthy and pick up the keys you dropped on the floor without throwing your back out into the twilight zone.

So for this lesson, lets just call it… stretching.  How’s that? 🙂 “Stretching” has SO many benefits.  Just start a program of stretching, and you’ll soon notice many of them.  Some of the benefits of stretching are:

  • relief from pain
  • increased energy levels
  • increased flexibility
  • better range of motion of the joints
  • greater circulation of blood to various parts of the body
  • relaxation and stress relief
  • enhanced muscular coordination
  • improved posture
  • greater sense of well-being
  • GREAT compliment to a weight training routine!

Are You Yoga Shy??

Yoga Shy I have met so many people in my community and all over the nation that have told me that they are shy or embarrassed to attend a simple little yoga class…

Yes, it’s true… Even going to one of my Outdoor Yoga Classes.  Are you one of those?

You REALLY REALLY want to try it! You REALLY REALLY know it’s super good for you! And you REALLY REALLY know the benefits of stretching, breathing and taking time for yourself.  Are you one of those?

But something about not knowing how to do a yoga pose and being utterly humiliated in a group class just does not sound appealing.  Are you one of those?

Ha ha! Ok, I’m giving you a hard time. Maybe you are or maybe not and YOU ARE NOT ALONE!! But I might have a solution for you if you think you might be little “yoga shy”. Check this out:

Starting in January 2016 I began working with individuals (on a beginner to intermediate level) of all populations to get personalized, One-on-One Yoga/Flexibility Fitness sessions! Just you and me as you learn and guide yourself through the not-so-scary process of learning how to do yoga and to get your body and mind strong… Heart Pose

Just like a Certified Personal Trainer, (which I am! *whew*) I will work with you MOSTLY to ease your fears about doing yoga, increasing your flexibility and range of motion in your body.
